1958 Other Makes. 1958 MAICO Taifun. The carb intake and carb air cleaner. Carb was missing but was able to find exact correct compete carburetor that 100% matches the one on my second bike. Exhaust solid. Speedo is the rare correct speedo that has cable driven gear shift indicator. 1958 MAICO Taifun. Twin cylinder, 2 stroke 400cc. Bought this bike a good 15 years ago. Had intentions of restoring but found a second one of these so selling this one. Extremely rare and ahead of its time. Might be one of 7 I have seen here in the US. Bike seems to have been originally black. Engine/frame are matching numbers. Bike is very complete. Only parts missing are: tfe alluminium battery cover, (the battery fits in the opening on the right side of the engine.) Please look at pic. The carb intake and carb air cleaner. It has correct vin but for some reason, clerical error, it says bmw on title as “Brand” not Maico. Any questions please ask. Will help your shipper load etc but buyer responsible for shipping costs.
